The music is wonderful, I have a few cds of his work, and a few that had been stolen when I was sharing a room at a con.

nobuo uematsu believe it or not has roots in creating pop music, random trivia for all.

And now I shall cry because my ps2 is broken, it lays in a hospital bed. I was on a boss battle too.

Well I'm from an electronic family. My dad designs car audio and amps (Just did all the work for Alpine...) And so I am used to fiddling with the hardware. It looks to be almost the same problem most cd based games have, disk read error caused by a confused gear or need of a new laser.

I always get the first systems that come out, (The first as in the model number)...So mine usally last long but end up with errors. For instance...my ps1 is moded but the model of the ps is so old that some newer games notice the mod. I mean this playstation is so old that it didn't even come with analog sticks.

heh, now thats reaching back. my playstation2 has a very unique problem, 95% of the time it wont read the disk it came with (gran turismo) ..... ( i got the gran turismo model when it came out ^^), but it doesnt have any problems with any other games, and that disk plays fine on other playstations.... i dont get it.

I'll ask the guru Eric about that. He has that problem with xenosaga I think.

I can't do it captain, I don't have the power! ( No. I am not a treckie. It's just my common quote for the fact that some nerds are far more nerdy than I).

Does it do a disk read error? or does it halfway load at all?

it doesnt show the disk read error, it just simply does not load.... it always gets past the little entry video, then loads the memory card info fine.... but when it goes to lead the menue, it just doesnt have what it takes :*(

And it is only for that game? Have you tried someone elses disc of the same game?

That is how my error started, it stopped playing only one of my games...

Hmmm, at present I'm the only one with the game, I was thinking about buying another one for 10 bucks, maybe I should just try that.....

another thing to check out is if the ps makes a noise while trying to load it. Bah, it's evil.

Or how about finding out there are bricks in you toilet because the last people living in the house thought it would fix something. Water went everywhere. Luck for us nothing electronic was in there.

Mr. Uematsu's work is fantastic, though many of the newer games seem to lack his work. Final Fantasy X-2 and Kingdom Hearts spring to mind. I am unsure if he is doing anything on Final Fantasy XII or Final Fantasy Online...his work is missed though.

yeah.... ffx-2 was weak on the music front, i always watch the beginning credits before i play any new final fantasy, and i saw his name wasnt there..... i was hurt. but he does do work in ffxi, not sure about ffxii though....

The music in the Final Fantasy games is amazing. For anyone interested, the iTunes online music store now has just about every CD ever made for each of the Final Fantasy games. You can listen to th 30 second clips. This is pretty big, cause you don't normally see these soundtracks in your local music shop.
